Eligibility Requirements
Predoctoral Fellowship:
- Open to PhD candidates who have reached candidacy by the application deadline
- Applicants must be prepared to complete their dissertation during the fellowship
Postdoctoral Fellowship:
- Open to those who earned a doctorate between September 1, 2021, and the present
Getty Scholar Grant:
- For applicants who received their PhD before September 1, 2021
Reapplication Policy:
- Previous Getty residential grant recipients may reapply after six years if they meet eligibility criteria
